This year I promised Ivan I would set a date and be done decorating for Christmas.
I usually end up decorating right up until our annual Christmas party and the whole house is a mess the entire month of December. Well, I did follow through with the stopping of the decorating
but then Garrett & I started taking Terri Brush's online Christmas class using paper clay.
We were having such a great time that we decided to make some of our friends some snowman candy
jars for Christmas. So our kitchen island has been completely full of glitter, clay, paint, etc. since Dec. 2nd. I'm slowly starting to clear it off and I think Ivan is starting to see a light at the end of the messy tunnel.
Here are just some of our new creations:
My Santa in on the left, the finished Santa is one I purchased from Terri's Etsy site last year.
Garrett made the one in the middle, the one on the bottle and the snowman.
Not bad for a 7 year old
Our snowman heads waiting to be glittered and placed on a jar full of candy.
My Santa all painted and glittered.
Two candy jars down, 8 more to go!
Garrett's made the one on the left for his dad to take to work.
We filled it with tons of chocolate to say thanks for putting up with our mess.
Hopefully I will get a chance to post some of our Christmas decorations next.
I broke down and purchased a fake tree 2 years ago and when I went to put it up only a third of the lights worked. I need to change them out tonight since our Christmas party is tomorrow.
